Ground Beef Mongolian Noodles

The ultimate meal for a busy weekend or weeknight!! So east to make- 15 minutes or less!

RECIPE:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef

  • 4 tsp fresh grated ginger

  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup low-sodium beef broth

  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce

  • 8 oz linguine or fettuccine noodles

  • Green onions (for garnish)


  1. In a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned (about 5 minutes). Add ginger and minced garlic in the last two minutes.

  2. Boil water in a pot; cook noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  3. Drain excess fat from the skillet, then stir in brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.

  4. Create a slurry by whisking cornstarch with water; add to the sauce and simmer until thickened (2-3 minutes).

  5. Toss cooked noodles into the skillet with the beef mixture; mix well and let sit for an additional few minutes.

  6. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.
