Easy, quick sweep bread packed with jucy apples and all of the Fall flavors! Yum!
RECIPE:
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 large eggs room temperature

1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups finely chopped peeled apples
1 cup chopped toasted pecans
1 tablespoon sugar for sprinkling the top
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a loaf pan.
In a medium bowl, mix together flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and baking powder.
In a large bowl, mix together the eggs, sugar, applesauce, and vanilla extract.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until incorporated. Fold in the apples and half of the pecans. Combine the remaining pecans, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon; sprinkle over the loaf.
Bake for 55-60 minutes in the preheated oven or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. Cool for 10-15 minutes before inverting.
