Turkey Sloppy Joe Pasta

We LOVED this recipe! Very filling and comfort food!!

The perfect combination of comfort food and clean eating! Absolutely DELICIOUS and VERY filling!!

RECIPE:

1 pound 99% Ground Turkey

2 medium Carrots- chopped (or minced with a food processor)

8 ounces Mushrooms - chopped or minced

1/4 cup Minced Onions

2 cloves Garlic

2 tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar

2 tablespoons Worchestershire Sauce

2 cups Water

15 ounce can Tomato Sauce

15 ounce can Diced Tomatoes

1/4 cup Tomato Paste

1 tablespoon Sukrin Brown Sugar (to order: https://www.netrition.com/cgi/goto.cgi?aid=4549)

1 package Fiber Gourmet Pasta (any shape) - to order: https://www.netrition.com/cgi/goto.cgi?aid=4549


Lightly mist a large pot or dutch oven with nonstick cooking spray and bring to medium heat. Place the turkey in the pot and cook, breaking up with a spoon or spatula. Cook unitl cooked through.


Add the carrot, mushrooms, onions, garlic, vinegar and worcestershire sauce and stir. Cook another 5 minutes. stirring occasionally or until veggies are soft. Add the water, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato paste and brown sugar and stir to combine. Bring to boil and reduce heat to low. Cover and let simmer for 15-20 minutes.


Add the pasta and stir until well combined. Re-cover the pot and let simmer for 20-25 minutes or until the pasta is cooked through. Remove from heat, stir and allow to sit for 15 minutes uncovered before serving.
