Sweet & Sour Meatballs

Clean eating and absolutely DELICIOUS! Great with Rice, Potatoes or all by themselves. Husband approved!

These Sweet & Sour Meatballs are a must make! My husband loved them so much he had seconds! Easy and quick weeknight meal and would be excellent for meal prep as the leftovers were just as yummy! #cleaneating #ww #myww #weightwatchers

RECIPE:

1 lb 93/7 Ground Beef

Worcestershire Sauce to taste

3 tablespoons Bread Crumbs (I used 8 Simple Mills Sea Salt Crackers)

Oregano to taste

1 Egg - slighly beaten

Salt & Pepper - to taste

1 clove Garlic - minced


FOR THE SAUCE:

1 tablespoon Avocado/Olive Oil

1/2 cup chopped Onion (or 1/4 cup Minced Onion)

3/4 cup packed Sukrin Gold (to order: https://www.netrition.com/cgi/goto.cgi?aid=4549 )

2 tablespoons Vinegar

1 teaspoon Lemon Juice

1 cup Low/No Sugar Ketchup (I used Primal Kitchen)

2 teaspoons Soy Sauce or Coconut Aminos


  • For meatballs: Mix all ingredients (minus oil) together. Form into balls. Fry in oil until golden then place on paper towel to drain. Set aside

  • For Sauce: In medium saucepan, fry onion in oil until tender. Add all other sauce ingredients and simmer 20 minutes. Add meatballs and cook 1 hour on medium. Serve and Enjoy!

  • *You can also place browned meatballs and sauce mix into crock pot.

  • 4 Servings - 5sp (all plans)
