One-Skillet Pasta

This was SOOOO good!! Like spaghetti on steroids!!!


The beef broth makes this recipe so good!! Very hearty, filling & delicious!!

RECIPE:

1 pound 93% Ground Turkey

1 medium Onion- finely chopped

1 Bell Pepper- finely chopped

1 28oz can Diced Tomatoes-undrained

1 14.5oz can Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes- undrained

1 14.5 can of Beef Broth

1 4oz can Sliced Mushrooms-drained

1 tablespoon packed Brown Sugar alternative (I used Sukrin Gold)

1 tablespoon Chili Powder

1 package Fiber Gourmet Pasta (to order- https://www.netrition.com/cgi/goto.cgi?aid=4549

1 cup Light Shredded Cheese


In a large cast-iron skillet or skillet, cook the turkey, onion and pepper over medium heat until browned.


Add tomatoes, broth, mushrooms, brown sugar and chili powder. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes.


Add the pasta, return to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer until pasta is tender, 30-35 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and cook until cheese is melted, 2-3 minutes.
